One of the stars of Netflix’s forthcoming Stranger Things 4, Augustus most recently rose to fame as the widely popular Nathaniel Moon on AMC’s hit series Into the Badlands. A native of Los Angeles, Augustus began his career first as a star collegiate football player at Northwestern University before being drafted into the NFL where he played for the Minnesota Vikings and the San Diego Chargers. Augustus later made the transition to Hollywood beginning with his debut in the film Colors and has since appeared in over forty film and television projects including the series Chicago Hope, the cult Stephen J. Cannell series Profit, AMC’s Low Winter Sun and HBO’s Westworld.
His feature credits include What’s Love Got to Do with It opposite Angela Bassett, Virus opposite Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Sutherland, and The Mexican opposite Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt. In 2008 he was awarded Best Male Performance at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for his starring performance in the Timothy Cogshell-scripted Bad Guys in which he starred opposite Danny Strong and Kate del Castillo. He is also a featured voice in the Oscar-winning animated short film Logorama (2009).
