SCREENWRITING COMPETITION
The Movie Expo is searching for the next extraordinary screenplay(s) to present to our production executives and agencies. Winners of our screen writing competitions will meet one-on-one with distribution expert(s) and/or acquisition specialist(s) for the opportunity to obtain detailed guidance and tips on successful pitching. Writers will have the chance to cultivate relationships with industry experts as well as gain insightful tips on how to showcase their work for streaming platforms (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Hallmark).
Winners will receive one-on-one critique sessions with our expert panelist(s). Top five(5) finalists will automatically have a spot reserved for the Master Pitch Session. This is an opportunity unlike any other to present your work to the Movie Expo Master Pitch Panel simultaneously. The Master Panel consists of industry financiers, producers and writers.
With over $1.7M in screenplays and pilots optioned by producers at Movie Expo 2019/2020/2021, it is our goal to have $3.5M optioned for 2022.
